The Chain Gang!!

    

European 4 in 1 watch



        When I begin making jewelry nothing intrigued me more than the chain maille pattern. (Maille or chainmaille) was a type of armor used in North Africa, Europe, and Asia. Chain maille is made from an assortment of jump rings woven into a variety of patterns and colors. You can purchase pre-made jump rings from most craft stores, or you can make your own. There are probably as many ways to make jump rings as there are to cook chicken. However, after purchasing a Coiling Gizmo; I have mastered the technique for making jump rings.

 

    
 The most common weaving method is the European "4 in 1". Each ring, as the name says, is linked to other four rings. It makes a very light mail (compared with other mailles with the same wire gauge but higher linking rate), and is pretty flexible.



Zodiac Helm Bracelet

    The Byzantine weave is one of the most attractive and easiest maille to learn I spent some time in preparing my first bracelet; which was pretty boring and slow, but after some time, I was able to develop new methods and new ideals using a variety of gauges and colors.
